The so-called "bee" bottle was created in 1853 by the glassworks Pochet & du Courval to contain the Eau de Cologne Impériale intended for Empress Eugenie. Its friezes, inspired by the dome of the Vendôme column, are adorned with 69 golden bees, symbol of the empire. Each frieze and each bee are finely gilded by expert hands using the same technique used a century earlier. Today the bottle celebrates its 160th birthday and continues to affirm its uniqueness; it can contain the perfume you prefer and, upon request, be personalized with your initials.
